Water supply installation is the section between the building's water meter and your apartment's central manifold. It's the part that decides whether you have stable pressure in summer, isolating valves where you need them, and zero hidden joints behind tiled walls.

Multilayer PEX-AL-PEX

Aluminium core between two PEX layers — dimensionally stable, doesn't expand under hot water, doesn't kink, retains the bend. Press fittings only on hidden joints. We don't use compression fittings inside walls.

Manifold with isolating valves

One isolating valve per circuit at the central distribuïdor — bathroom 1, bathroom 2, kitchen cold, kitchen hot, washing machine, dishwasher, AC make-up. If a fixture leaks, you close one valve, not the whole apartment. Critical for occupied flats.

Single tramo

Replacement of one section of supply line — typically from the comptador to a wet zone, up to 8 m. New PEX-AL-PEX, isolating valve at both ends, pressure test, joint photograph. Used when only one branch of the supply has failed or carries lead.

Plumbing works = the full plumbing rebuild inside a reform: incoming + drainage + fixture lines + butlletí. Water supply installation = the incoming line only — from the comptador to the central manifold. Smaller scope, scoped separately when only the supply needs renewing or when a building riser is being replaced.
Multilayer PEX-AL-PEX inside the apartment — fewer joints, no corrosion, dimensionally stable. Press fittings on hidden joints, no compression. Copper or galvanised only where the comunidad still requires it on the section before the apartment (some pre-war buildings have a fixed riser spec).
Yes. The cold network is charged to 6 bar for 30 minutes before any wall closes. We photograph the manometer and log the test. If the pressure drops more than 0.2 bar in 30 minutes, the wall doesn't close until the joint is found.
For a like-for-like replacement of the incoming line, comunicat covers it. If the manifold position changes or new walls get chased, llicència obra menor — 4-8 weeks at the Ajuntament. We file it as a separate line on the quote.
The comptador relocation is a separate request to Aigües de Barcelona — they own the meter and they need to issue the move authorisation. We coordinate with them, file the form, prepare the new piping route on our side, and reconnect once they fit the meter at the new location. Usually 4-6 weeks total.
Single tramo: a half-day on site. Full apartment supply: 2-4 working days plus the pressure-test wait. Commercial pressure-boosted system with grup de pressió: 5-10 days. Inside a turnkey reform the supply happens during first-fix and adds no separate calendar time.
