Wrong slope on a baixant gives you smell. A bad joint to the building riser gives you the leak nobody wants. No insulation around the pipe gives you a complaint from upstairs every time the toilet flushes. Sewer installation done right takes care of all three at the same time.

Slope verified by laser

2% minimum on horizontal drains, 3% under the kitchen sink for grease, 1% on the venting. Measured with a laser level on every metre, not by eye. The slope log goes into the handover folder so the comunidad has it if a downstream apartment complains later.

Sound insulation against the pipe

Rockwool wrap around every PVC drainage pipe inside the apartment, plus a flexible coupling at the joint to the building riser to absorb building movement. Cuts the flush noise from 65-70 dB to 45-50 dB — comfortable, no complaints from upstairs.

Plumbing works = the full plumbing rebuild inside a reform: supply + drainage + fixture lines + butlletí. Sewer installation = drainage only — baixant rerouting and the connection to the building riser. Smaller scope, scoped separately when only drainage needs renewing or when the building-wide vertical baixant has to be replaced across multiple flats.

PVC inside the apartment with rockwool sound-insulation around the pipe — modern standard, lighter, easier to inspect. Cast iron only when the building riser still requires it (some pre-war Eixample buildings), in which case we use a flexible coupling at the joint between PVC and cast iron to absorb building movement and prevent cracked joints.
A bare PVC pipe transmits 65-70 dB during a flush, which neighbours upstairs hear and complain about. With rockwool wrap around the pipe plus a flexible coupling at the riser plus a floating-floor mat under the new screed we get to 45-50 dB — comfortable, no complaints. The difference is the rockwool we wrap and the coupling at the riser.
Up to 3 m laterally with a slope-verified macerator-free run. Beyond 3 m the slope usually doesn't fit under the false floor anymore — at that point we either rebuild the false floor structure to recover the slope (costly) or fit a Saniflo macerator pump (€650). We tell you on the visit which one fits your case.
3-6 weeks depending on number of floors and access. Coordination with comunidad president, scaffolding for facade access if the riser is on the exterior, sealed transitions per floor, individual quote after the building inspection.
