Private house interior design in Barcelona multi-floor, garden-integrated.
Houses are not big apartments. Multi-floor circulation, garden-to-living integration, basement use, garage, staircase as a focal piece. Núria leads house projects with a different briefing template — one that captures how the family actually moves through the floors over a day.

About this service
Houses run on circulation patterns, not single-room aesthetics.
The mistake most house designers make — they design rooms in isolation. The real work in a Barcelona villa is the path: how does morning coffee on the terrace connect to the kids' upstairs, how does the basement gym drain when it rains, how does the garage stay dry next to the wine cellar. We start the brief with a day-in-the-life walk-through, not a Pinterest board.
01
Multi-floor circulation first
Where does the staircase meet which floor's primary daytime zone? Where does the upstairs hallway connect master to kids without crossing utility? The staircase is the most-used object in a house — designed last, it becomes a 1-meter waste of m². Designed first, it sets the rhythm.
02
Garden ↔ living integration
For Sarrià villas and Castelldefels casitas — the living room is twice the size when the garden integrates. Sliding glass partitions, level continuity (no step-down to the patio), pergola for west sun, drainage profile so the patio doesn't flood the living-room floor in October.
03
Basement, garage, attic — usable
Houses come with extra m² that often go unused — damp basement, hot attic, dead-storage garage. Designed properly: basement gym/cellar with proper ventilation and drainage, attic guest room with thermal envelope, garage with a workbench wall and EV charger.
Fixed fee per m², no «time and materials» on design hours.

Pick the depth. Deliverables follow.
Basic project
Layout strategy across all floors, mood board and core construction drawings. Right when the structure is solid and you only need a refresh — paint, finishes, lighting refresh.

Standard project plus on-site supervision through the build phase. Núria walks the site fortnightly, signs off first-fix electrical and plumbing, runs the snag walk at handover. Right for international owners or anyone who wants the architect on-site, not just on paper.

Common house design questions
Things owners ask before signing.
Three real reasons. (1) Multi-floor coordination — every plan has to align with the floor above and below. (2) Outdoor design — terraces, gardens, drainage, exterior lighting are extra deliverables. (3) Different code — DB-HE energy and DB-SI fire safety apply differently to single-family vs apartment-block. The fee per m² is ~15-25% higher; the work is structurally different.
Garden integration with the house — yes, that's part of Standard and Full tiers (sliding glass, level continuity, drainage, pergola, exterior lighting). Pure landscape design (planting plan, irrigation system, hardscape design) — we partner with two Barcelona landscape architects and coordinate on Full+supervision.
Both are common. Basement: needs proper ventilation (mechanical extract minimum) and drainage check before becoming gym/cellar/cinema. Attic: thermal envelope (insulation + ventilation) before becoming guest/study. Both included in Standard and Full tiers if part of the brief.
Yes — the deliverable is yours. Common to ask three contractors to quote against our drawings. We also bid on our own designs; the choice is yours and there's no hard-sell into our build.
Yes — Sarrià, Pedralbes, Sant Cugat, Castelldefels, Sitges, Premià, Vallvidrera. Survey visit is the same fee. Build-phase visits include travel time after 30 km from Maragall (€0,40/km billed line-by-line).
Right. For apartments (single-floor, often modernista context, vertical risers shared with neighbours) — see apartment interior design. Different brief, different drawings, different code.
