Consumer unit + ICP work
Replace old 4 kW unprotected panels with current 5,75 kW or 9,2 kW units, fit RCBOs per circuit, label every line. Coordinate with Endesa for ICP swap if your contracted power needs to go up.

Wet-zone IP44
Bathroom IP44 fittings (zones 0/1/2 per CTE), shaver outlets in correct zones, mirror lights, towel-radiator wiring. The work that used to be «a bulb here, a switch there» but now needs proper zone certification.

Three usual causes: (1) the appliance has an earth-leakage fault — replace it; (2) the circuit shares with another high-load device and the RCD is over-sensitive — split into two circuits; (3) the RCD itself is degraded (15+ years old) — replace it. Joan diagnoses on the visit with a clamp meter.
Pre-1973 buildings can keep fuse-only panels until the next major reform — at which point the REBT triggers. But it's a real safety risk for modern appliances. Most insurers also flag it on home-insurance audits. Upgrade is €480-680 with Joan's three-tier panel package.
