Custom furniture in Barcelona starts at €680 for a single fitted piece, €2,400 for a coordinated room set and €4,800 for a full walk-in wardrobe. Bespoke joinery is made to measure in our workshop from solid oak or walnut and installed in 3 to 10 weeks, depending on the timber. Every quote is fixed after a laser survey of the actual room.

Made-to-measure work covers fitted wardrobes, dressing rooms, bookshelves, media units, dining tables and bathroom vanities. Unlike catalogue furniture, each piece is built for the exact millimetres of your space — useful in Eixample flats, where almost no wall is truly square. Workshop-built furniture means the cabinet meets the actual room — not the wall that should have been straight, not the floor that should have been level, not the cornice the catalogue ignores. Òscar measures everything on site, the workshop builds to those exact dimensions, and we fit it in one day with no on-site sawdust.

Solid wood by default

Oak, walnut and beech — solid panels and frames, not particle-board with veneer. The cost is 15-20% higher; the lifespan is 30+ years instead of 8-10. We do veneered birch only where the customer asks for it (lightweight pieces or budget-led briefs).

Hardwax oil, not lacquer

Osmo or Rubio Monocoat hardwax oil on every solid-wood piece. The finish ages instead of failing — small scratches sand and re-oil locally, no whole-piece refinish. Lacquer fails by chipping and shows clearly within 3-5 years.

Site survey, then workshop build

Òscar takes laser measurements on site — cornice height, floor slope, wall plumb, baseboard depth. Workshop CAD on a 1:1 scale to those numbers. Install day is screw-and-shim, not «adjust on the floor with a saw».

Things owners ask before signing.

Single piece: 3-5 weeks. Multi-piece: 5-7. Walk-in: 7-10. The bottleneck is usually material delivery (oak in stock = 5 days; walnut on order = 12-14 days; cherry = 21+ days). Workshop build itself is 5-12 days depending on complexity.
Particle board with veneer fails by edge swelling (humidity from a cleaning mop) and corner crumbling (3-5 years). Solid wood with hardwax oil ages — small scratches sand and re-oil locally without a whole-piece refinish. The cost difference is 15-20%; the lifespan difference is 3x.
Yes — bring a photo or, better, a small sample (the back of a drawer, an off-cut). Òscar matches species, grain pattern, and finish at the workshop. Note that older pieces have darkened — new oak takes 12-24 months to reach the same tone.
No. The piece arrives pre-assembled or in 2-3 large sub-assemblies. Install day is screw-and-shim — no saws, no sanders, no varnish in your apartment. We do put down protection mats and clean up at the end. Single-piece install is typically 2-4 hours.

If you're renovating a whole apartment with multiple rooms of fitted furniture (wardrobes + kitchen + bathroom vanity + library), it's usually cheaper as a Designer-tier turnkey renovation. The joinery is the same workshop, but project-managed alongside MEP and finishes.
The workshop is in Barcelona, on Passeig de Maragall, and we install across the city and the metropolitan area — so for most of Barcelona we are the wardrobe fitters near you. There is no showroom to visit: fitted furniture is measured in your own room, not chosen off a display floor, so Òscar comes to you with samples of oak, walnut and the hardware. If you are outside the province — Girona, Tarragona or the islands — we quote the delivery and installation separately, and for a single piece it rarely works out cheaper than a local maker.
